Description

The "Baseline.zip" contains a Mixed-Reality instruction authoring application designed using Unity based on Dynamics 365 Guides. The "ISM-Ehanced_System.zip" contains a Mixed Reality application which is the enhanced version of the "Baseline" application, using a set of universal image-schematic metaphors. Both applications enable users to create virtual 3D contents and register them correctly in space.

The two .zip files each contains a Unity project that includes the assets, packages and project settings required to run the Mixed-Reality assembly instruction authoring applications on HoloLens2.

To open and use "Baseline.zip"/"ISM-Enhance_System.zip" in Unity, follow the simple steps: 1) Unzip "Baseline.zip"/"ISM-Enhanced_System.zip" into your chosen directory on your computer; 2) Open Unity Hub on your device; 3) Within Unity Hub, press the 'Open' button and navigate to the directory where you unzipped "Baseline.zip"/"ISM-Enhanced_System.zip". Select the directory to add it to your Projects list in Unity Hub; 4) Find "Baseline"/"ISM-Enhanced_System" under the Projects tab in Unity Hub, and click it to open the project in the Unity Editor, using Editor version 2021.3.15f1; 5) Once the project is open, go to the 'Assets' folder and select the main scene named 'MainScene'.

Within both "Baseline.zip" and "ISM-Enhanced_System.zip", you might encounter various Unity-specific files, such as .mat, .unity and others. These files are designed to be used within the Unity Editor and may not open correctly or display errors if attempted to be opened with external software or without the proper context of the Unity project.

Please also see accompanying README file for more details and file/folder organisation.
