Description
The short interviews last from two to five minutes each. The questions were devised and asked by Xiaolong Guan and the filming was done by Xiaoxiao Yan. The interviews were made on 8th August 2006 and have only been very roughly edited.
Abstract
Around thirty short interviews given by Professor Alan Macfarlane as he walks round Cambridge City and University. He covers topics such as libraries, museums, the nature of fellowship, scientific discovery, music, food, teaching, examinations and many aspects of life in Cambridge and the University and Colleges. It is based on 35 years of teaching in the Colleges and University.
