This community holds information to aid the operation of DSpace itself. It also holds documentation on file standards, infrastructure and protocols.

Its aim is to maximise the amount of information available to current and future DSpace users, so that as much information as possible can always be extracted or reconstructed from the archive.

This approach is the most basic and essential level of long-term digital preservation.
