Ritual 2, 'Bride-Welcoming Ritual'

Abstract

This ritual takes place in the groom’s home in order to welcome the bride. The bride is told, “From now on, you’re a member of this family. You should respect your husband’s parents like your own parents, and get along with your husband’s brothers and sisters.
