Abstract: Photographs of the Newall Telescope installed at Ferndene, Gateshead, home of Robert Stirling Newall (1812-1889). Photographs dated 1872. Telescope is a 25-inch refractor on an equatorial mount by Cooke of York.
Description: Originals range from 41x50 cm. to 49x60 cm. Most do not fit completely onto our A3 scanner.
