Description:	283 x 203 mm. Showing four men posed in a rough wooden outrigger on the beach at Madras (now known as Tamil Nadu). These are in fact probably not fishermen, but rather the crew of the boats which follow the massulah boats in case of accidents. Photographer unknown, probably Nicholas and Co. Photograph taken circa 1880s.
